Owners,

Thanks for coming along for another season of Bigs Baseball!! We’re hopefully less than a week (or two) from beginning our 19th season of play!

Since most of us have re-installed the game after a long break (or installed for the first time), I thought I would post the Logos and Photos files here for download if you’d like.

You’ll need to create a couple new folders, PHOTOS and LOGOS, in the Big League of Baseball.lg folder.

     Distant Replay: The Ballplayer's Chronicle

In 1997, the world was a much different place.  No 9/11, Roger Maris was still king of the home run ball, and George W. Bush was known more for trading Sammy Sosa than as governor of Texas.

It was also the year that we re-started Big's Baseball after another of our extended layoffs.  In May 1997, I was returning from my freshman year at IU, and with the use of this new thing called the "internet", I intended to take the League online.

What follows are three issues of a newsletter I produced for the 1997 season, and some basic rules of the league at the time.  By the way, in the first edition, those are Phil's handwritten notes in the margins.  Apparently I didn't know the difference between "rosin" and "resin"!!
